Q. Where is the clay from?
A. The clays are dug underground in special clay/soil deposits in Cameroon and Zimbabwe.
Q. What does the clay taste like?
A. It's a rich baked earthy flavour similar to the smell of dry earth that has a sprinkle of rain on it. Quite literally! The calaba can have sour streaks in it too!
Q. I've found a tiny piece of twig/sand/grit in my clay.
A. This is natural in the clays as they are not being sold as smooth clays. However, due care has been taken to remove these in the red soil cakes.
Q. Is the clay safe to eat?
A. It is the buyers discretion whether or not to consume these products, as they are sold as novelty items but due to possible health concerns, we advise against eating clay excessively. Therefore, you should consult with a healthcare professional before starting a new diet, or if you have or suspect you might have a health problem.
Q. Can I order a sample?
A. Unfortunately, as the clays have already been packaged for full sale, we don't offer samples.
Q. How long will my clay take to arrive?
A. All orders are sent 1st class with Royal Mail the next working day to when you place your order excluding Friday and Saturday. An email will be sent to you confirming that your order has been shipped with your proof of postage.
Delivery should take approximately 1-2 working days to the UK and a minimum of 5-7 working days internationally putting consideration into customs and processing of which we have no control over.
Q. How will my order be packaged?
A. Your clay will come in a discreet brown padded envelope.
Q. My order has taken longer than expected to arrive. What do I do?
A. Sadly, this does happen sometimes and we kindly ask you to be patient as we will always post your order on time but from the point of postage it is in Royal Mail's care.
(For more security we suggest opting for tracked or recorded delivery which requires you to confirm that you have received your order. It is a little pricier but it will guarantee your order's safe arrival. If you wish for this option then send us an email before ordering.)
Q. I want to make a large order. Do you have any offers?
A. Yes, we offer a discount on postage depending on how large your order is.
Q. I want to place an order but I don't have paypal. How else can I pay?
A. We accept payment through bank transfer so just send a message if you wish to place an order in this way detailing what you would like to order and your address.
Q. Do you accept returns?
A. Unfortunately we don't accept returns.
Q. Do you ship internationally?
A. Yes we do. If you try to order and it says we are unable to ship to your country, send us an email and we'll find out how much shipping is to your country and add it to the list.
